SWAN Yoga Retreat in Goa offers its visitors many yoga packages to choose from. You are welcome to stay with us as long as you want, but to facilitate the needs of the guests we have designed two Yoga Holyday packages that are research based and result oriented. You may join our one week or two week* Yoga Holyday Retreat any day of the week, from October to May.
Our research based programs of one week or two weeks, is a perfect entry point for yoga beginners as well as people who have been practicing yoga for some time. Our yoga holiday or vacation for beginners at SWAN Yoga Retreat Goa, is to introduce yoga in a gentle yet profound way to the participants. This yoga vacation takes you on a journey into the world of yoga. In this one or two week yoga course the participants learn yoga asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breath control), mudras (psych gestures), meditation and deep relaxation techniques, yogic detox practices like jala neti (nasal passage cleaning) , vaman dhauti (stomach and oesophagus passage cleaning), laghooshankhaprakshalana (intestine cleansing), and trataka (constant gazing on a candle flame). These practices are from the classical Hatha Yoga Tradition. We have created a dogma free, yet traditional atmosphere where the age old methods of teaching are used. Same as in a Gurukula. Knowing/learning about the yoga philosophy, is also an integral part of the this yoga holiday retreat. We belive it is important to know why yoga should be practiced, and also it is important to know that there is so much more more to yoga that just the practice of Asana (the physical postures). In a nutshell we at SWAN teach “Yoga as it is”!
